Her Hometown Hero

Her Hometown Hero

Her Hometown Hero by Margaret Daley

In a split second, a tragic accident ends Kathleen Somers’s ballet career. Her dreams shattered, she returns home to the Soaring S ranch…and her first love. Suddenly the local veterinarian, Dr. Nate Sterling, goes from her ex to her champion. With the help of a lively poodle therapy dog, the cowboy vet sets out to challenge Kathleen’s strength and heal her heart. He’ll show her there’s life beyond dance, even if it means she leaves town again. But maybe, just maybe, he’ll convince her there’s only one thing in life worth having…and he’s standing right in front of her.

I love Margaret Daley’s Caring Canines series and highly recommend its latest addition, Her Hometown Hero! Full of emotion, Kit Somers’s story tugged at my heartstrings. I enjoyed her inspiring recovery and rekindled romance with Dr. Nate Sterling. Her Hometown Hero is a wonderful story of hope and healing!

After graduating from Fannie Farmer’s School of Cookery in 1910, Charlotte Gregory is ready to stir things up. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to travel, lecture, and give cooking demonstrations on the very latest kitchen revolution–the gas stove–and certainly doesn’t mind that the gas company has hired the handsome Lewis Mathis to perform at her lectures. Lewis encourages her work, especially her crusade to introduce fresh, appetizing, nutritious food to those convalescing in hospitals. But young hospital superintendent Dr. Joel Brooks is not convinced any changes should be made–especially by this outspoken young woman.

When Charlotte and Joel are coerced into planning a fund-raising gala for the hospital, will this combustible pair explode?

Cover Reveal- How a Star Falls

9 Aug

I am excited to reveal this beautiful cover and look forward to enjoying the story when it releases!

How a Star Falls

How a Star Falls by Amber Stokes

About the Book:

How does a star fall?

Quickly. Completely. Unexpectedly.

Derrick Knolane escapes to Trinidad Head most evenings, avoiding his apartment and planning for the day he’ll break free of Humboldt County. Working in a music store might be fine for a while, but it’s far from the goal he had in mind when he got his college degree. Not to mention the fact that his roommate is a jerk and his family won’t stop trying to run his life.

Then Brielle falls into his world.

She claims to be a star. Not from Hollywood, but from heaven. He thinks she’s crazy. Certainly delusional. Yet, he can’t just leave her alone on the cliffs. So he takes her home.

And his whole world falls apart.

A heartfelt and fanciful contemporary romance novella, How a Star Falls explores the uncertain season of new adulthood and shows that sometimes the worst inconveniences make for the best miracles of all.

A Matchmaker in Middlebury

A Matchmaker in Middlebury by Anita Higman

Meredith Steinberg takes the stage again in A Matchmaker in Middlebury and is given another chance to dance with destiny and meddle in the romantic affairs of two lovelorn singles. But Meredith’s skills as a yenta are stretched to the limit as she discovers that her golden egg-of-a-plan has a perilous crack. In the end, however, heartstrings are indeed knotted together as two singles find tender love—they’re just not the two people Meredith paired for marital bliss…

Love and matchmaking are in the air in this charming tale!  I had such fun reading this story and loved Meredith Steinberg and her quirky matchmaking methods.  With endearing characters and a playful plot, this short story tickled my funny bone and warmed my heart.  A Matchmaker in Middlebury is the perfect afternoon treat!

A Matchmaker in Middlebury is a novelette sequel to A Marriage in Middlebury, but can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone story.

This romantic comedy novelette is an eBook exclusive on Amazon and can be purchased for $0.99!
