I’m excited to reveal the cover of
Carrie Fancett Pagels’ upcoming release,
The Lumberjacks’ Ball!
The Lumberjacks’ Ball by Carrie Fancett Pagels
A decade after surviving a brutal attack, a mercantile owner’s daughter seeks to begin her life anew in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. A gifted craftsman wishes to leave his lumberjack life and seeks employment at her new store. When his presence dredges up memories she wishes to suppress, the new proprietress must learn to face her past. Can affection grow between the cabinetmaker and the proprietress of St. Ignace’s newest business? When complications arise will they overcome adversity in time for The Lumberjack’s Ball?
Available April 2015!
Carrie Fancett Pagels, Ph.D., is an award-winning, and Amazon bestselling author, of Christian historical romance. She served as a psychologist for twenty-five years. Carrie lives in the Tidewater Virginia area with her family. When not writing, researching, blogging and enjoying tea, Carrie beads and reads—not necessarily in that order!

Me too, Jackie! I know it will be a wonderful story!!
I never imagined lumberjacks having a ball, and what was the brutal attack that haunted this girl’s life for 10 years, how did she heal, and does she find happiness…questions that must wait until April for an answer. Roth6@comcast.net
Thanks, Debbie! Maybe I should rewrite my blurb and use your questions! Yes, they had dances. Some call them the Woodcutter’s Ball.
Just a few more weeks until your questions will be answered! 😉
Oh Carrie you always come up with the coolest plots! 🙂 This sounds GREAT!

Me too! Just a few more weeks until we can enjoy The Lumberjacks’ Ball!
Thanks so much Dee and Britney! I hope the wait will be worth it for you. This is different. RJ has had the spunk driven out of her. So she was a little prickly for me to work with!
I read my first book by this author not long ago “Fruitcake Challenge”, what a wonderful story sure makes me want to read another. Lumberjack’s Ball is going to be next – I hope as the cover is so pretty and these guys in her stories are just so darn lovable, along with being handsome hunks.
Paula O(kyflo130@yahoo.com)
I adored The Fruitcake Challenge, Paula, and am also eager to read more of The Christy Lumber Camp Series!
TY! Well of course they are lovable handsome hunks–they are a lot like my husband, Paula! I just told him that! Tom Jeffries got named after my real-life Jeffrey for a reason! So glad you enjoyed the book and hope you love the sequel!

You’re welcome, Wendy!
The Fruitcake Challenge looks like a nice story.
melissa(dot)snoopy(at)yahoo(dot)com
It’s a wonderful story, Melissa!
Thanks, Melissa!
I love that the hero is a cabinet maker. My husband was accomplished in that craft and had his own cabinet shop at one time. He made the kitchen cabinets in our house.
may_dayzee(at)yahoo(dot)com
Wow, really, Kay! I’d love to hear more about that. My dad was a woodworker and really loved it, had his own shop downstairs. But he wasn’t a master craftsman like Garrett in this story. I admire people who have those skills as I sure don’t!!! TY!
Yes, I think wood-working is a wonderful skill. I grew up in the wrong decade. I wish I would have realized, when I was young that being a carpenter or woodworker was not just for boys. I could have asked both my father and grandfather to teach me how to work with wood. I imagine they would have been willing, but it never occurred to them, either.
That is a shame, Kay! Do you do any wood working at all now, though? The extent of my abilities in that area is finishing the woodwork that somebody else did! I’ve done a lot of staining and finishing furniture but no construction.
What a wonderful talent, Kay!
Thanks for the chance to win and introducing us to all these great blogs!!! Can’t wait to read The Lumberjack’s Ball. chris_davebures@bellsouth.net

This sounds wonderful! I enjoyed the little peek into the book. The plot affirms that Carrie has once again used her talents to create a wonderful tale. I really like the cover, its bright, the scenery beautiful!
Hey GRACIE! I thought the lovely greenery contrasted nicely with the new beginning that Rebecca Jane is trying to obtain. Thanks so much for your kind words! Hugs!!!
