Wyoming’s spectacular mountains have drawn many, from trappers to ranchers to skiing enthusiasts. This Christmas, spend the holidays with the Covington family, who have called Wyoming home for generations. Rough, bristly rancher Zebulon sets his sights on eastern lady Belle Murray. Forward-thinking Emily would rather stay a dog musher than become a bride. Outfitter Sam wants to make his name in Wyoming, not say, “I do.” Hayley’s quest for her father’s approval goes sour when she takes an interest in a local ski bum. Will four festive sleigh rides rein in romance?
Thoughts:
Happy release day to Elizabeth Goddard & Lynette Sowell! I had the pleasure of reading A Grand Teton Sleigh Ride earlier this summer and am excited to share it with you today.
Christmas stories are some of my favorites and I loved this delightful novella collection! Spanning four generations, these stories are filled with faith, family, and love. Elizabeth Goddard and Lynette Sowell vividly portrayed the Covington family and their beloved ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I adored the romance in this collection and looked forward to each special sleigh ride!

Frontier dangers cannot hold a candle to the risks one woman takes by falling in love.
In an act of brave defiance, Tamsen Littlejohn escapes the life her harsh stepfather has forced upon her. Forsaking security and an arranged marriage, she enlists frontiersman Jesse Bird to guide her to the Watauga settlement in western North Carolina. But shedding her old life doesn’t come without cost. As the two cross a vast mountain wilderness, Tamsen faces hardships that test the limits of her faith and endurance.
Convinced that Tamsen has been kidnapped, wealthy suitor Ambrose Kincaid follows after her, in company with her equally determined stepfather. With trouble in pursuit, Tamsen and Jesse find themselves thrust into the conflict of a divided community of Overmountain settlers. The State of Franklin has been declared, but many remain loyal to North Carolina. With one life left behind and chaos on the horizon, Tamsen struggles to adapt to a life for which she was never prepared. But could this challenging frontier life be what her soul has longed for, what God has been leading her toward? As pursuit draws ever nearer, will her faith see her through the greatest danger of all—loving a man who has risked everything for her?
Thoughts:
The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn is a sweeping novel that captivated me from the very first page! Lori Benton’s writing is exquisite and she has penned a masterful tale of adventure, suspense, and romance!
I love historical fiction and adored everything about this extraordinary story! The rich, historical details are fascinating and the riveting storyline kept me reading late into the night. I loved the complexity of the characters and found them to be wonderfully endearing and intriguing. Tamsen Littlejohn is a young lady full of courage, faith, and determination. Her rugged hero, Jesse Bird, is patient and protective. Their story is one that will leave you breathless!
The Pursuit of Tamsen Littlejohn is a magnificent novel and one I highly recommend!
Lori Benton, author of the acclaimed Burning Sky, was born and raised east of the Appalachian Mountains, surrounded by early American and family history going back to the 1600s. Her novels transport readers to the 18th century, where she brings to life the Colonial and early Federal periods of American history, creating a melting pot of characters drawn from both sides of a turbulent and shifting frontier, brought together in the bonds of God’s transforming grace.
When she isn’t writing, reading, or researching 18th century history, Lori enjoys exploring the mountains with her husband – often scouring the brush for huckleberries, which overflow the freezer and find their way into her signature huckleberry lemon pound cake.

“Miller’s Creek, Texas…where folks are friendly, the iced tea is sweet, and Mama Beth’s front porch beckons…” ============
Thoughts:
A Bridge Unbroken is Book 5 in Cathy Bryant’s Miller’s Creek novels. While fans of the series are sure to welcome the newest addition, A Bridge Unbroken can easily be read as a stand-alone novel.
I thoroughly enjoyed the community of Miller’s Creek and its residents. Dakota Kelly and Chance Johnson are strong characters, left vulnerable by the physical and emotional scars of their pasts. Their journey, full of suspense and romance, is one of faith and forgiveness. I loved the unexpected plot twists, as well as the beautiful spiritual messages!
One of my favorite quotes from the novel:

A Bridge Unbroken is a touching, engaging story and one that I highly recommend to fans of inspirational romantic suspense!

Sometimes everything you ever learned about yourself is wrong.
Fashion is a fickle industry, a frightening fact for twenty-four year old model Ivy Clark. Ten years in and she’s learned a sacred truth—appearance is everything. Nobody cares about her broken past as long as she looks beautiful for the camera. This is the only life Ivy knows—so when it starts to unravel, she’ll do anything to hold on. Even if that means moving to the quaint island town of Greenbrier, South Carolina, to be the new face of her stepmother’s bridal wear line—an irony too rich for words, since Ivy is far from the pure bride in white.
If only her tenuous future didn’t rest in the hands of Davis Knight, her mysterious new photographer. Not only did he walk away from the kind of success Ivy longs for to work maintenance at a local church, he treats her differently than any man ever has. Somehow, Davis sees through the façade she works so hard to maintain. He, along with a cast of other characters, challenges everything Ivy has come to believe about beauty and worth. Is it possible that God sees her—a woman stained and broken by the world—yet wants her still?
Thoughts:
A Broken Kind of Beautiful is a poignant story of hurt, hope, and healing. As I read this compelling story, the characters stepped from the pages and into my heart. I loved each of them and longed to offer comfort, as the emotional pain they endured was heartrending. Each broken in their own way, their journey of faith and healing was beautiful and uplifting. The spiritual messages in this book are rich and abundant and there were several quotes that I lingered over and savored.
Katie Ganshert’s writing is lovely and she has written another wonderful story! A Broken Kind of Beautiful is a tender tale of love and a beautiful story of redemption!
Katie Ganshert graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison with a degree in education, and worked as a fifth grade teacher for several years before staying home to write full-time. She was born and raised in the Midwest, where she lives with her husband, their young son, and their goofy black lab, Bubba. Synopsis:
Can a Lost Love be Redeemed?
Baker City, Oregon, 1881
Seven years ago, Julia McKenzie rejected the man she loved, wanting to experience more of life. Now, at the age of twenty-four, she regrets that decision. What will Seth think of her, when they encounter one another hundreds of miles from home? Will the man she cared for understand the direction her life has taken and love her in spite of her choices?
Pastor Seth Russell has never completely forgotten the girl he once courted. When she shows up in his new home of Baker City, all those feelings return. But why is she sneaking around town late at night? Even more important, will she reject him and break his heart again, or can God heal the breach between them?
Thoughts:
Forget Me Not is a story that is as beautiful and unique as its namesake! This heartfelt novella is a wonderful addition to the Love Blossoms in Oregon series. While any of the books in the series can stand alone, I encourage you to read them in order. In doing so, you will come to know the residents of Baker City, Oregon, and understand their stories.
Miralee Ferrell is a master storyteller and has once again penned an exceptional story. I loved the endearing characters and their spiritual and emotional journeys! I was also touched by the themes of compassion and forgiveness, expressed so eloquently in this novella. One of my favorite quotes is, “Forgiving isn’t saying what they did is right, it’s simply letting go of the past and choosing to walk toward God’s light and love, instead of toward darkness.”
Inspiring words of wisdom and faith, woven together in this tender love story, make Forget Me Not a must read!
